On July 14, 2024, Rod and I made the drive to Bayonne, NJ for a special opportunity—an invited tour of the Celebrity Eclipse. Being welcomed aboard gave us the chance to see this beautiful Solstice-class ship up close and really get to know her. We walked through all of the stateroom categories, from the cozy interior cabins to the spacious AquaClass and Concierge Class, and of course the luxurious suites that take cruising to a whole new level. Seeing them in person gave us a much better feel for the layouts, design, and touches that make each category unique.
The public spaces on Eclipse were equally impressive. We explored the stunning Grand Foyer with its sweeping staircase, the elegant theaters that host nightly entertainment, and the inviting Sky Observation Lounge with its panoramic ocean views. We strolled across the Lawn Club, a real grass space at sea that feels perfect for relaxing outdoors, and took in the pool deck and solarium, both designed for relaxation and comfort. From the quiet corners of the library and card room to the lively casino and boutique-filled galleria, there’s a spot for every kind of traveler to enjoy.
Dining onboard was another highlight. We visited the main dining room, a grand space offering classic elegance, and peeked into specialty venues like Murano, known for its French-inspired fine dining, and Tuscan Grille, which offers a bold Italian steakhouse experience. Qsine, Celebrity’s playful, creative dining concept, stood out for its innovative menu presentation, while the Oceanview Café buffet impressed us with its variety and international flair. Casual options, cafés, and bars throughout the ship rounded out the many choices available.
At the end of the day, we walked away with a much greater knowledge of the Solstice-class ships—what makes them special, and why Celebrity guests fall in love with them. Touring the Celebrity Eclipse was not only informative but inspiring, reminding us of the thoughtful details that make Celebrity Cruises such a standout brand in modern cruising.
