On the evening of September 20, 2023, we had the pleasure of hosting a truly special event: Sip & Sail with AmaWaterways – A Look at the Christmas Markets. Held at the beloved Laperaux Bistro in Germantown, Maryland, the evening brought together fine dining, festive inspiration, and the promise of unforgettable travel experiences. With a capacity of just 35 guests, the setting was warm and intimate—perfect for creating an evening that felt both exclusive and personal.
Guests were treated to a multi-course tasting menu specially prepared by Chef Gregory Webb, whose culinary artistry set the tone for the evening. Each course delighted the senses and paired beautifully with the stories and imagery shared by our featured presenter, AmaWaterways. As we dined, we were transported to the heart of Europe’s most magical season: the Christmas Markets along the Rhine, with special attention given to the dazzling city of Strasbourg, France.
The evening was filled with conversation, discovery, and excitement for the journeys ahead. From the cozy setting of Laperaux Bistro, guests were able to imagine themselves wandering cobblestone streets lined with festive lights, sipping mulled wine, and exploring centuries-old traditions.
